I edited and produced this feature-length documentary film about Seb Zewdie, an Ethiopian boxer who was destined for gold at the 1984 Olympic Games, only for his dreams to be dashed by politics. Despite setback after setback, Seb lands in Los Angeles and is a boxing coach, the mentor to some of LA’s up-and-coming fighters. His desire to suffer for the good to getting better still rages on as he battles one more time to settle a score, one that will test his age and alter his perception of what it truly means to be successful.
The film has been an official selection at numerous film festivals around the U.S., including winning the Grand Jury Prize at Film Invasion Los Angeles. I was personally awarded Best Editing at the inaugural Two Roads International Film Festival in New York City in 2019.
Suffer For Good is now available to stream and purchase on Amazon Prime Video from Gravitas Ventures . Here you can find two trailers for the film and production stills.

Edited remotely in Los Angeles for Visit North Carolina, on behalf of the Luquire Agency (based out of Charlotte), released as broadcast TV and social spots. In addition, I cut a 1min sizzle that served as a campaign “anthem.”

I edited and produced this pilot spec for a new interview/on-the-fly web series that examines the people that work odd jobs in order to make ends meet in the places in which they live.
This pilot episode focuses on the Calypso Tumblers street performers in Venice, CA. Using a combination of handheld, static, and drone footage of varying speeds, I attempted to match the energy of the performers’ acrobatics with the peaceful, zen-like vibes that each individual performer strives for, setting up a visual blueprint for the web series overall.
