I was commissioned by Panavision to edit two short subjects featuring Panavision’s SVP of Optical Engineering Dan Sasaki and Phedon Papamichael, ASC, GSC, who discuss Papamichael’s relationship with the company, anamorphic glass, and the production conditions of shooting at high-octane speeds on the Oscar-nominated film Ford v Ferrari. Sasaki and Papamichael also screen the film’s trailer and break down Papamichael’s approach to anamorphic optics on large format, lending to the film’s look.
The film was released in 2019 and distributed by 20th Century Fox.
Two videos were live on Panavision’s social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Vimeo, and LinkedIn. A third video, formatted for square, was live exclusively on Facebook and Instagram.
